Hi. I'm the guy behind the keyboard
Before I get into the dry stuff, let's see if you can guess where I come from. Here are some hints:
|
What I do |
— I string for the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Spectrum magazine. Check out examples on my Sci-Tech Portfolio page.
— I also write on current events. You can find examples of stories I wrote for Al Jazeera English News Service on my Current Events Portfolio page. —In addition, I write non-byline pieces such as advertorials and custom content for newsletters, universities, corporations and websites, as well as rewrite and copyedit a variety of documents. Previously, I wrote a popular column called Computer Corner that ran weekly for 15 years in Japan's leading English Language newspaper The Japan Times, and my work appeared in a number of industry magazines now sadly defunct, including Electronic World News, Semiconductor Magazine and New York Stock Exchange Magazine. I also worked as the Japan Editor for the451.com. * The answer to the quiz above? Liverpool, of course! The city where the folks are known as Liverpudlians or Scousers—or even called Scouse gits, by the uncouth. Should you want to know why, contact me here, and I'll get back to you.
